A note about the LGRA newsletters: LGRA used an online marketing service called Vertical Response to develop and distribute their newsletters through Email messaging. The advantage of this kind of service is the association has the availability of tracking who views the newsletters and which links they click on within a specific newsletter. However, the disadvantage to using this type of service is if the association decides to stop paying for the service, or the service goes out of business, all the link functions and images in the newsletters will quit working. As a result, the newsletter itself will quit working and will be gone forever. My suggestion is to use services like this only for notifications of new newsletter availability or announcements of other activities and have the service point to the newsletter stored on your website. The newsletters on this site have been modified so that they will continue working but many of the hyperlinks will no longer function. |
