Hello 2012 and the Membership of CGRA,
Wow it's really here. Always want to start this letter out with holy s**t. But I refrained. Besides, those who watch over my letters probably wouldn't allow it. LOL. There is so much to touch on but first and foremost I sincerely hope that y'all had a wonderful holiday season and were able to spend time with family and friends. It certainly was a joyous one for me. And, no I didn't meet the next future ex husband.
So lets get started........ Do you realize it's only 6 months away? Yep that's right RMRR 30 is just over 6 months out. I say this for two reasons. One just in case you didn't get your new 2012 calendar you'll have a reference point and Two so as to put a bug in your ear, a fire under your ass. Yep, there is a sense of urgency to lay the ground work and get things in place. Come on it's our 30th. WE need you. It's easy to sit on the sidelines and bitch, yep I said bitch about last year or what WE should do this year. But cowboys and cowgirls if you don't get involved and let your ideas be known........ that's all you'll have, the bitchin'. So I ask each of you to take an active roll this year in showing our community and those on the IGRA circuit just what a 30th Annual Rodeo looks like. This is a major milestone and it's gonna take each and everyone of YOU to pull it off. So contact a Board member or even myself and let's get the ideas flowing.
We have a ton of new things happening this year and a lot of those are in our membership drive and our Gymkhana - Roping practices. We are prepared to have the best trained athletes on the circuit this year. This too needs your help. I want to introduce you to my B1 Program. B1. Be a mentor for an up and coming rodeo athlete. B1. Be a newly trained rodeo athlete. We have so many of us who can recall where we got our first training and who that individual was who spent time with us teaching us the in's and out's of what we needed to know. We have a lot of wanna B's who are looking for your expertise and training so that they too can learn to compete on this level. So if you have a horse to loan or time to train, I want to here from you. Plan a day at your place to teach roping or speed events. Let's get these younger men and women involved. Yep, if it sounds like I'm getting older well than let it sound that way. But, unless we are going to add events such as Walker Pole Bending or Wheel Chair Barrels than we need to bring along our youth. B1. Let's set a goal to have the most NEW contestants at our rodeo that the IGRA circuit has ever seen. You know it, as I do, once you do it you're hooked. So come on B1. Help me to set out the logistics of this program so that we can haul NEW contestants to rodeos, board their horses and yes help pick out their first Wild Drag outfit. B1.
So with that being said, I want to invite each of you to our next General Membership Meeting which will be at Charlie's Denver the 6th of January starting at 8pm. Start the new year out right and bring a guest. For those of you receiving this letter and that's your only involvement, start the new year out right and get your ass up off that couch and come hang out with US. Remember "Colorado Rides with Pride" and come ride with US.

Hello from Colorado Springs!
I hope everyone had a safe and joyful Christmas and by the time this newsletter comes out, survived their New Year's Eve outing and are enjoying a brand new year!
First off, I want to recognize all of the hard work and dedication that our 2011 Royalty Team put in. Thank you to Mr. Rocky Buruse and Miss Tracey Lee Saunders. Congratulations and thank you for all that you've done for CGRA. May you have success in all of your future endeavors and hope that we continue to see you working with CGRA. Congratulations also go out to Rocky Buruse for bringing home the title of Mr. IGRA 2012 1st Runner-up. You will have a very busy 2012 but I know that you will still be out and about supporting CGRA throughout the year.
Welcome to our new 2012 CGRA royalty Team - Mr. John Beck, Ms. Paula Scougal and Miss Gia Diamonte. You all did an absolutely incredible job competing for your titles and I look forward to working with you all. I know you will all represent CGRA with honesty and integrity!
2012 will be a very busy year with CGRA getting ready for our 30th year of Rodeo here in Colorado! Remember, it's not too late to help with RMRR! Volunteer if you can!!
CGRA's first major fundraiser will be coming up in February with Valentine Extravaganza 2012. Keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming information on this fun-filled event!

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's celebration. I hope you were safe and had lots of fun. Folks we are now on the count down for RMRR 30, and just 45 days away from Valentine Extravaganza. If you want to get involed please contact Rocky Buruse to find out where he needs help. If you are traveling to IGRA Universary in St. Louis, have fun and learn lots.

First off, Happy New Year! I hope this finds all of you doing well in 2012. I can only speak for myself, but 2011 was a rough year, so having the opportunity to start fresh in 2012 is a welcome experience!
For those of you who had memberships due in December, your time is up! Make sure you get a payment to me as soon as possible either through shopcgra.com, by sending in a check (PO Box 202604, Denver CO 80220), or by bringing a payment to the next meeting on January 6th. There will be an election on the 6th to fill the Fundraising Chair position, but you have to be a member in good standing in order to vote. Come on out and support your organization if you can.
Also at the meeting I will be reviewing the final proposal for the Greeter position that we keep talking about. From there, it will go to the By Laws Committee to become an official part of CGRA. If you have any final input, please don't hesitate to drop me a note and let me know. I'm not just asking for the input to be polite...I want input, because without your involvement as members, the position just won't have the same impact.
Thanks in advance for your renewed memberships and renewed efforts to keep CGRA the great organization it is. I look forward to seeing all of you on January 6th!

The New Year is upon us and CGRA needs your Help not only with Valentine Extravaganza, on February 11th, but we need your Help with having the Best Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo 30, on July 14th and 15th. Wow Rodeo 30, it will be here before you know it so we as a Board are asking for Volunteers for both events. Please let us know if you can help out.

Happy New Year everyone. I would like to wish all a great holiday with your family and friends. May your next year be a great one. So to start out our reign,your 2012 Royalty are holding our first beer bust and mini rodeo at Charlies Denver on Friday the 27th, the evening will begin with the beer bust starting at 7:00pm the the rodeo will commence at 8:00pm. Come on out and see if you have it in you to mini rodeo.
