PresidentCowboys and Cowgirls gather round, We are off and running. With or without you. Now come on you know me. I would much rather be off to the races with you. So let's all make an effort to get involved, be a part of this great organization. We set a great pace last year and I have every intention of not slowing down this year. Looking back I think we built some great things last year, accomplished some things that we weren't suppose to do. For those of you who helped in all of our accomplishments, Thank You. As for the others, well hell, we still got this year. Some come join in on the fun. I have some things that I would like each of you to be thinking about and that's our Charity Partners for RMRR 30. I opened nominations at last meeting and will keep them open thru the October and November meetings. During the November meeting each nominated Partner will be allowed to talk with the General Membership and ask for your vote. We will be selecting our 2012 RMRR 30 Charity Partners at that meeting. I am certainly anticipating being able to donate back to our community a large amount of money from the profits of RMRR 30. That being said.......... We need to give those who we nominate a great deal of consideration. Is it that we donate back to our community to those who help us or is it that we donate back to those who can most use our help. There is no right or wrong answer. You decide. As for my goals. I told those in attendance at the September meeting I would like to donate $30,000. for RMRR 30. Yep 30 for 30. Don't laugh there certainly have been years where we have done just that. Let's work hard and think outside the box and show everyone just who CGRA is. Okay so it sounds like work. So does building a barn, fixing the fence, hearding cattle. No one said it's an easy goal but I know we can have a lot of fun doing it. You know Nike says "Just do It" and last year we said "WTF". What are WE gonna say this year? I need your support and help. I am once again gonna hold a Summit at my house for the new Board of Directors, much like we did last year. It's an informal meeting where we discuss ideas, philosophies and where we would like to take CGRA. Things we can do to increase membership and membership involvement in our organization. I am personally inviting each of you to attend. If you are interested in getting involved with us and speaking out about your ideas this is a great time to do so. The meeting will be on October 1, 2011 at 1:00pm. If you'll just e-mail me I'll give you my address and directions out to the house. Hey, its like the only way I can kinda get a head count. You know we gotta eat. Maybe we should have a pool party, but my Granddaughters pool is plastic and only about a foot and a half deep. But there is a slide. Yeehaw. Seriously I do hope you can attend. I found last years summit quiet informative and gave me a great deal to work with. I look forward to the same this year. Okay, I recon that's enough to think about for one month. It is for me anyways. Thanks for a Great first year and let's get started on an even better second one. Let's Ride

Public RelationsHello CGRA, First and foremost I want to say THANK YOU for voting me in as your Public Relations Chair this year. Now on to business. You as our memebership can have an article in the newsletter, If you choose to do that I need your articles emailed to me by the 5th of each month. That way I can get the newsletter published by the 10th of each month. I look forward to working with all of you this year. I plan on using a few different ways this year to get CGRA's info out to the community such as our facebook page, Outfronts blog page, Milehighgay's blog page, Gayzettes blog, The Center, and Alice 105's fm blog page. As well as keeping all other groups in the link as well. However with that said, I need your help with that. I need your press releases in order to get them out. Also if your planning an event, I need to know that info as well. Dan Rutledge MembershipHey y'all. As the summer winds down to a close and the temps start to drop, it's a perfect time to leave your air-conditioned homes and venture out. While you're out enjoying driving with the windows down and the music up, why not stop down to Charlie's for a General Membership meeting? It's a great way to find out what is going on with CGRA, as well as to make sure you have a voice in the future of the organization. We normally meet up the second Friday of each month at 8 PM, and our next meeting will be October 14th. Come on down and see what we are up to! Those of you who have memberships expiring in the third quarter, you need to renew by September 30th to ensure your membership does not lapse. Since the online store is currently down, you can send those payments to my PO Box at PO Box 202604, Denver CO 80220, or you can pay at the next meeting if you want. Either way, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know. If you have been wanting to volunteer with CGRA but you weren't sure in what capacity, we are starting up a Membership group that will go to CGRA events and specifically talk about being a member. My hope is to have a large cross-section of members participate, so the more the merrier! If you want to join up, shoot me a note at or to the Membership email via CGRA. Either one works. We will be having a get-together toward the end of October to talk about the team and how to get started, so there's plenty of time to free up your calendar. Have a great September, and we'll see y'all next month! CGRA-Membership email address removed
