Happy Holidays! Oh yeah that stuff is over. Now that I think about it, heck its even a new year. I do hope that this letter reaches each of you in a place where you wish to be and I can only hope for a prosperous New Year for all of us.
It's time. That's right it's time. Time to turn the corner pack your bags, get all your s--t in a pile and "Get in the Truck". Oh you haven't heard that one yet. Well it's time that you start using it and spreading the word. We are into 2011 now and RMRR 29 is only 184 days away. It's time for us to begin shaking up the community and creating all the buzz about CGRA and RMRR 29. If you've been sitting on the sidelines or holding back from joining us as a member, or maybe you know someone who is, it's time to get involved. We got a lot of room in this Truck. You know me.... If we fill this one up we'll just get another truck. I'll make a bet with you....... I'll bet we run out of people before we run out of trucks.
There are so many new and dare I say exciting (like who's heard that in a while) things going on with CGRA. I'll only touch on a few of them cause I really would like to see you at the meetings to feel it for yourself. Our meeting dates for the year 2011, which are posted on our website, CGRA.us, were voted on by general membership last month and low and behold have been moved to Friday's. Can you say, I don't have to work the next day. I can stick around and have a drink and a dance or two. Or maybe even more. The trial days that we held Friday meetings in November and December proved to be a success. Our 2011 Gymkhana schedule is finalized and will receive the boards approval this week and then we can get that posted to our website also. Great strides have been made with our CGRA Dance group and competition. The first dance competition is coming up later this month on the 29th and that information is also posted on our website. I know, I know, your asking yourself what's all this with the website? Well welcome Cowboy Frank, our new Webmaster. We still have a long ways to go but a big Thank You to Frank for his endless efforts in getting our information posted. I would encourage each of you to start going to our site for this latest information. We have a newly elected Public Relations Chair, welcome Dan Rutledge. Who I am expecting big things from, too. Here we go again...... I know your sitting there thinking...... If he could only put an end to these letters, right? Anyways, there's a few samples of the FUN that's going on and by all means please come join us. The next Board of Directors followed by General Membership meeting is this Friday night. Times haven't changed only the day, BOD at 6:00pm followed by GM at 8:00.
As for this months meeting. We have some important items to deal with. We will be voting on and selecting our RMRR 29 poster. You still have time to get your ideas to the table. We will also be selecting 3 Charity Partners for the RMRR 29 proceeds. Then there are those few changes to the By-Laws that will also have second reading and be voted on. Then there is the topic of our "Valentine Extravaganza" that's coming up February 12th. You will surely want to hear what the committee is doing on that. Those are the biggies but with this Board there is always something new in the fire that I'm sure will come out. So be there and get involved. I so appreciate what I have seen and experienced thus far from each of you and your input and support of CGRA.
Last but not least a few reminders...... If you are going to IGRA University this month and wish to be compensated for one night of your lodging you need to contact David Hill so that he may issue that check. Also, we chose to not conduct CGRA gymkhana's in the months of January and February so if you would like to participate with the Jeffco Search and Rescue gymkhana's those dates are February 13th, March 20th and April 17th.
So is it Schwooo, Dammit Boy, Does This Guy Not Have a Life or whatever you chose to say but this one is over. Hope to see y'all Friday night.
"Get in the Truck". (you know after I push this little send button I always think of something I forgot, how is that possible)
Let's Ride
