·         President’s Report:  Much media attention has been placed on IGRA and its member associations as a result of the release of the movie ‘Brokeback Mountain’ and related events.

·         Secretary’s report:  This discussion focused on the IGRA Insurance Policy coverage and options.  The previous policy was @ $10-11,000 annually for coverage; the insurance firm will no longer be providing this type of insurance.  Tommy Channel has been researching options.  The firm suggested by Charlie Lanier has a policy available at a coverage cost of $21,095.  Additional coverage is available for events such as rodeo schools at an additional cost.  IGRA will cover the first $11,000, with the remainder to be covered by all 26 associations.  Approximate cost would be $10,095 divided by 26 = $388.27/association.

·         Dance Committee still soliciting sponsorships for all aspects, especially buckles.  See SMRA for costs associated with this year’s buckles.

·         IGRA Hall Of Fame Committee:  Brian Helander asked Lonni La Bel to join the committee to replace a member rotating off; she has accepted.  The IGRA Hall of Fame honors individuals who have provided for the development and growth of gay rodeo, or who have accrued an outstanding record or achieved a prominent position in the sport. (Note to ASGRA members: if you have a suggestion for a member who should be nominated to the IGRA HOF, contact Lonni La Bel.  Nomination forms are available at the link at the bottom of the IGRA HOF page: http://www.igra.com/HallOfFame/index.htm)

·         Rodeo Resources:  The Rodeo Resources CD was provided to all trustees at this meeting; also available at IGRA website: http://www.igra.com/Resources/Guidebook/index.htm

·         IGRA University:  Sponsorships are still being still solicited; plans are rolling along.  We encourage all IGRA members to attend.

New Business:

·         Applications were approved for the Golden State Gay Rodeo Association/Greater Los Angeles Chapter (GSGRA/GLAC), Missouri Gay Rodeo Association (MGRA) and New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association (NMGRA) 2006 Rodeos.  GSGRA?GLAC: Aug. 4-6, 2006; MGRA: Sept. 1-3, 2006; NMGRA: Aug. 18-20, 2006

·         Allocation of 2006 Hero Unit Funds:  Some issues still exist between Hero and Q TV resolving their own agreements for filming and distribution.  The Executive Board met and discussed this issue on Sunday night, January 15, and made a recommendation for the distribution of any funds that are received once this is resolved.

·         LOGO provided a short presentation to IGRA which included rough cut of a potential IGRA 30 second promo that would be run 20 times a month on LOGO.  LOGO is interested in partnering with IGRA for marketing purposes related to the LGBT community.  More to come…

·         Finals 2006:  Clark Monk has been working with the various HSRA teams in Reno to organize the upcoming Finals Rodeo.  Clark has also been named the Finals 2006 Rodeo Director.
