Al Bell partnered up with Les Krambeal, a cowboy out of Oklahoma, to open a second Floyd's in Reno. Al and Les got a group of people in Reno interested in rodeo and at that year's convention the Silver State Gay Rodeo Association was seated at IGRA convention.

This put gay rodeo back in Nevada after a three year hiatus.

There were six rodeos that year including the first IGRA Finals rodeo, which was held in San Francisco, California
