The next day the livestock arrived. It consisted of 5 cows, 10 calves and 1 Shetland pony.

The numerous gay organizations which were to run various concessions arrived along with many clowns.

The first rodeo had 1 large arena with wild calves and cows running looses - no holding pens or chutes, but it was RODEO TIME! The first year there were just three categories:

1. King of the Rodeo (male)
2. Queen of the Rodeo (female)
3. Ms Dusty Spurs (drag)

It was great fun and a minor success.
