Video by unknown photographer
We have been told that John King (owner of the Charlie's bars, one of the founders of IGRA and a long time supporter of gay rodeo) paid some guy $400 to shoot this video, a lot of money in 1987. John also had to borrow a camera for the guy to use. AGRA loaned us a DVD copy of the original VHS tape which was about 35 minutes long. After editing out fast sweeping pans of the stands, scenes with nothing happening in front of the camera, and shots of the sky or the photographers feet, we ended up with only 11 minutes of usable footage. That works out to about $36 a minute.
